The Oldsmar Soccer Club’s aim is to provide a clean, safe and organized venue for our youth to participate in both recreational and competitive soccer. We strive to develop each player’s tactical and technical skills, to develop a player’s understanding of good sportsmanship and team play, and to provide an atmosphere that nurtures a player’s love of the game.
While our initial goal is to introduce young players to the sport, to support and develop them throughout their adolescence, our ultimate goal is much grander. We are driven to make sure each participant grows not only as a player but also as a person. Learning the importance of fair-play, sportsmanship and respect, not only for the game but also each other is paramount and an achievement we strive to attain.
OSC was founded in 1996 to meet the need for a youth soccer club that focused more on the children and a positive sports experience. Play began at Canal Park in 1997 with one U-12 Competitive team and about 125 recreational players in 1997. Today the club boasts a robust Competitive Program, a two-season Recreational Program (Fall and Spring), the OSC Kickers Program aimed at children from 3 to 5 years old and a nationally recognized US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer Program catering to the needs of area soccer players with disabilities and their families.
Parent volunteers have been the backbone of the club’s success. We have a proven staff of winning volunteer coaches and literally hundreds of positive and supportive parents keeping this Oldsmar soccer family financially healthy and on track towards providing many more years enriching sports activity for the children of our community.
All the Oldsmar Soccer Club families wish to thank the city of Oldsmar for its tremendous support, without which we could not succeed.
